The exponential rate of technological change that has transformed media and communication structures globally is reflected in the degree of attention paid to the convergent media nexus by the international community. With the rapid growth of new media technology including the Internet, interactive television networks, and multimedia information services, many proponents emphasize their potential to increase interactive mass media, entertainment, commerce, and education. Pundits, policy makers and media experts recognize a revolution in media industry, as well as the new opportunities on people life enhanced by digital media. Business entrepreneurs also see the change to broaden their business stretch.
ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015 is expected to open doors in the region for all ASEAN media producers as well as international players to make the Kingdom a hub to broaden their viewer base. At the same time encouraging discussion among academics on all aspects of changes brought by digital technological convergence.
ASEAN Media and Communication Studies and Research Center (AMSAR), School of Communication Arts, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce are organizing an international conference entitled “Transforming Communication Landscape: Lessons from Asean+” to be held during April 5–10 th, 2014. The conference is organized in conjunction with UTCC‘s 50th Anniversary, with a focus on the impact of digital technology on our society, and the development of a new digital civilization.

Papers will be selected on a competitive basis and an expert panel will be appointed for screening all the submissions.
All selected papers will be published in Conference Proceeding and on website

Abstracts due: 1 March 2014
Notification of accepted abstracts: 3 days after received abstracts
Full papers due: 1 April 2014

FORMAT FOR ABSTRACT
1. Indicate your proposed “Conference Stream” in the subject line of your email
2. E-mail should contain the following:
a. Paper title
b. Author name, position, institution
d. Short biography of Author (100 words); please do not send full CV
e. Paper Abstract (500 words)
FORMAT FOR PAPER
1. Should be written in English and, if you must use jargon, clearly explain its meaning.
2. Length is 5,000–8,000 words
3. Citation should be in APA Style
4. Submit using Microsoft Word double space. Font Times New Roman, 12 pts. Please use plain text and not formatting.
5. Subject line should say “full paper and conference stream”

Purpose of the paper
Organization of the paper
Literature Review
Research Methodology
Relevance of paper to the conference
Subject of the paper representing a significant direction for communication research in Asia
Quality of writing
Evidences and conclusions relating to the purpose of the paper with the evidence supporting the conclusions
